Spring is in the Air

Our baby apple tree that we planted almost 4 years ago when we moved here is in full bloom. It has come along way, it has had to face deer, hail, bugs and freezing temps, but this year it has come to see it's full beauty. Look closely, you may even see a little helper that will get our apples growing.

A Day Trip

A little side note... I tried to arrange the pictures in a different way but alas, they just look small, sorry you will need your magnifying glass to see them. If you want any of them bigger just let me know!

Ok, now on to the real post!

We took the day yesterday and went someplace we had never gone before. We went to Kalispell Montana. Why? Well, they have a Costco, and NO tax and it is only 2 and a half hours from our house. So, yesterday morning we left on our adventure. We got there just in time for lunch at Wendy's and then headed to Target and Costco and the dollar store. We got some great deals on food, clothes and Chocolate Cheerios, gotta love the States.

We wanted to have some fun too, not just spend our money. So, while we were at Wendy's, a little girl and her brother were talking to us and said she was going to feed the ducks after lunch. Ducks, where were these ducks? Not only that, she said it was a Duck Park. That sounded like fun! So, Paul asked her dad where this Duck Park was. After some shopping we headed over there and found the ducks, lots of fat, brave, aggressive ducks!

There was also a park there, with one of those spinning metal things... Do you remember those, the death traps that we called fun as kids? Well, they still exist, and our kids had just as much fun on them as we did!

There were also bridges to explore, huge trees to climb and ducks, lots and lots of fat ducks!

There were also parents there, parents that you may not see very often on this blog, but they exist as well. Cici was brave enough to handle my camera and snap these shots!

This is J Man, he is cute and this is the ball he bought with an American dollar bill, he was a bit upset that he didn't keep both the money and the ball!

I got a good shot of the kids on the huge tree, they humored me while I set them up, it was too good to pass up!

We had dinner here . Cici's first question as we got out of the car was "'what else do they have other than meat"? My first response was "they have lots of other things to eat other than meat!". I may have spoken too soon. We had a huge plater for the family of ... well... meat and more meat and then there was more meat! We are not having meat tonight for dinner!

Another amusing place we saw was this place. It confirmed that we were in Montana, meat and cowboys, what else is there... oh, Costco and fat ducks!

snow and dancing

Why is Beany so excited?

It is family dance time!

There was a family dance tonight at the school, lots of lights, loud music and of course disco balls!

The kids had so much fun dancing, even J Man ran and danced for a straight hour and a half (Gracie went but didn't want any pictures taken of her dancing... oh... it is beginning!)

Why is Beaner holding a disco ball?

Well, she won it for the best Kindergardener dancer!!

She is so proud!

Oh, and on a side note, it is snowing again... for the 3rd straight night, it is snowing real hard, there will be inches on the ground by morning... again... Did I mention IT IS MAY!!! i am not happy.
