Catching Up

It feels like every few days over the past few weeks, something major happens in our lives. Let me catch you up.

Paul had a birthday.

Kids have attended birthday parties.

and...

We bought a house in Port Moody!

 We searched high and low for a few months and finally found the right place for us. All the conditions came off last week and we are again home owners. We took Paul's family by the new place on Sun and let the kids see the neighbourhood for the first time. They played in the park that our house backs onto, I think we will really enjoy it. We move either late June or late July.

Over the weekend, Paul graduated from his many, many (13) years of working on his Masters Degree. He is now a Master of Divinity. We are proud of him and we are all glad that he only has to focus on work from now on!

The weekend was full of seeing family which was so enjoyable. We ended the weekend at my parent's house for dinner and s'mores. 

There was also some special cuddle time with my parent's dog...

...which ended like this!

Field Trip

Yesterday J Man's preschool went on a field trip to the Pet Store. Even though J Man wasn't in the best mood, I still think he had a great time!

He wasn't too fond of the ferret...

but enjoyed the Teddy Bear Hamster!

A highlight was the Red Eyed Tree Frog, perhaps not for him, but for the girls when they saw the pictures! Frogs are a big hit around here and the red eyed ones are top of the list!

Blooming

This is what our church looked like on Sunday. I had only my iPhone with me but couldn't pass up the chance to capture the beauty. The rain came the next day and I am sure this is now gone. Glad I could capture the moment. Oh, and about the blue trees, I have no idea.

A Good Friday

This morning we hiked around White Pine Lake with many people from our new church. 

The weather was amazing and so was the company. 

We hiked for a bit, then stopped and shared with the kids about the meaning of Good Friday. Then we enjoyed the rest of the hike around the lake. The scenery was beautiful, it was a great way to spend Good Friday. 

B tried to catch fish with a stick.

Cici tried to catch 'Rosie' all morning long. I think that little dog was carried more than she walked!

Jude caught the hand of many of the older boys. He loves that there are so many 'big boys' at our new church!
