This got me a little emotional today.  It was all her idea too.  It is gonna be hard to leave.

Christmas in February?

There are times that as a parent I feel foolish... like when we are cleaning our closet and find a Christmas gift that we forgot to give to our son!  Opps!  Well, he was thrilled about our mistake and here is what he got.

Crazy Hair Day

Yesterday at school it was crazy hair day.  We didn't have much time in the morning but this is what we came up with.

Cici's friend though couldn't be matched with her crazy hair, it is all her own hair too.  I am just glad that I didn't have to brush all that out!

The Snow Fort

Sled Dogs

Today was the Bootleg Sled Dog Races, we made it there just as they ended but still had fun petting the dogs.

We asked why the dogs were painted... it is to ensure that the dogs that started the race are the ones that finish, no substitutions allowed!

There was a puppy pen, oh boy were they cute. Seriously if you are a sucker for big puppy eyes and wet noses stay clear!

Paul and I were asked to go to the  dogsled banquet tonight, he is to pray before the meal. A date night for us, and perhaps if there is time after the dinner we might go catch the Ice play the Giants.

I love it that my second daughter brings home a dictionary from her school library as her library book for the week. Why? Because she likes to sound out words. OK, whose kid is this anyway?
